Sanderson Farms Championship set for Sept. 26-Oct. 2 at Country Club of Jackson

The Sanderson Farms Championship is a partner in improving children’s health care in Mississippi, raising millions of dollars to support Children’s of Mississippi through Friends of Children’s Hospital.

The 2022 Sanderson Farms Championship will tee off Sept. 26-Oct. 2 at the Country Club of Jackson. Since Sanderson Farms became the Title Sponsor in 2013, the tournament and Century Club Charities has contributed over $14.7 million to Friends of Children’s Hospital and other Mississippi charities.

This year’s tournament will feature the best of professional golf and the hospitality the Sanderson Farms Championship has become known for. The 2022 Women’s Day keynote speaker will be Sarah Thomas, a Pascagoula native who was named by Sports Illustrated as one of the 100 most influential NFL figures of all time.

At the Women’s Day Luncheon, set for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Country Club of Jackson, Thomas will share how she became the first full-time female official in NFL history in 2015 and the first female official to work during a Super Bowl in 2020. International Paper will return as presenting sponsor of the popular event.

A division of Allen Exploration, known as Walker’s Cay, will be the official sponsor of the Wednesday Pro-Am at the Sanderson Farms Championship. The Walker’s Cay Pro-Am will be held Sept. 28. For more information on the tournament and tickets, visit the Sanderson Farms Championship website.
